I sit near the window every night at dusk and watch the sky change behind the neighbor's tree. There's a vascular quality to that tree. I ponder it each night as the blue sky turns to violet and then adds rosy hues and then fades to black.
I went out to photograph the tree (and got some great shots, just what I wanted) and then started playing with long exposures and the motion of the camera. The result was this amazingly fabric-like image with the shadow of vessel tree in the corner. It feels painterly and like sky and crumpled paper and textile all in one.

I love this shot!
