Michael was so excited to discover his peas had shoots! I think there's nothing more magical than discovering you can make things grow. I love my garden and I have a pretty green thumb, but my poor hubby doesn't even realize he's the plant assassin. He grew carrots last year. Planted them in June, got carrots in January. That's kind of his luck. So he was thrilled when he planted peas and a week later had pea shoots. Let's all cross our fingers he actually gets peas before winter.
